Sheri Rosa

Founder & Tampa Event Coordinator

I founded Florida Ghoulies in July 2025 after a simple idea turned into something much bigger. I had posted in a separate group about organizing a beach day and quickly realized how many people across Florida shared a love for Halloween, horror films, oddities, and all things spooky. They were all genuinely yearning for connection. After that first beach meetup, Florida Ghoulies was born.

What started as a one-ghoul operation has since grown into a wildly successful, statewide community. I began as the sole coordinator and later expanded the team by welcoming regional coordinators to help support and grow the group. Alongside my coordinator role, I’ve organized group-wide exchanges, contests, and our book club, and I currently manage our Patreon, with all proceeds going directly back into the community through event support, prizes, and group initiatives.

At the heart of Florida Ghoulies is my belief that safe, welcoming spaces for women and non-binary people truly matter—especially spaces built around shared interests and joy. For us, Halloween isn’t just a season; it’s a year-round vibe woven into everyday life.

I thrive on creating events and spaces that are fun, inclusive, and full of great energy. When I’m not organizing or admin-ing, you can usually find me planning themed parties, going to brunch, studying vampirism in media, or thrifting.
